About Us
Stow on the Wold Baptist Church has been serving Stow since about 1660 and was one of the oldest, non-Anglican churches to be established in this country. The Chapel building, which dates from the mid nineteenth century, is used by a number of community groups including The Well community café and North Cotswold Food Bank. A monthly meeting for informal Christian worship is also held.
The Church and Chapel are managed by a group of trustees who comprise the Missional Steering Group. In addition to supporting and overseeing the present ministry and mission activities the Group is charged with discerning the future mission and ministry of Stow Baptist Church and facilitating any worshipping community which may emerge.
