Junior Church

Just for KidsJunior Church is a key part of our church and worshipping life on a Sunday morning. Our morning service begins at 10:30am in Campden School. For the first 15-20 minutes the whole congregation worships together before we begin Junior Church (n.b. except on a FreeRunner’s Sunday). Junior Church finishes when the adults part finishes, usually just before midday.

Children and young people are an integral and important part of CCBC and we want them to look forward to coming to Church each Sunday.

When you arrive on a Sunday morning a member of the Junior Church team will be available in the foyer to register your child, and if you’re visiting give you a friendly introduction to CCBC. The leaders and helpers of each group will take the children out at the appropriate time.

Grow your faith by leaps and boundsThe groups are…

Sparklers (Reception & Pre-school)

Bright Sparks (Years 1,2 & 3)

SupaNova (Years 4 & 5)

Push ’n’ Shuv (Year 6+)

At the end of the morning service a parent or carer must collect their child from the group. You’re very welcome to join us for refreshments and biscuits back in the school hall. Please remember that once you’ve collected your child they are back in your care; the school is a public building. The safety of our children is our priority.

We try to be creative and make full use of technology, where appropriate, in our Junior Church groups. We aim to introduce young children to Jesus, find faith for themselves as well as discover the truths of the Bible which we believe are relevant to both old and young today.

CCBC is committed to best practice especially when working with children and young people. As a church we have a strong Safeguarding Policy, informed by both the government and Baptist Union of Great Britain guidance. All our leaders and helpers have received training and have up to date DBS checks. If you have any questions or concerns about the safety or well being of our children please speak to Kate, one of the ministers or Gill Woods (our Designated Safeguarding Person).
