Children’s Ministry

Children and young people are an integral and important part of CCBC. We don’t expect them to be still or quiet, but we actively encourage them to discover more about Jesus and Christian faith in a fun and active way each week!

Throughout the week we have a range of groups and activities for children of all ages, led and run by a wonderful team of gifted, enthusiastic and committed volunteers.

Kate IrvineCCBC has called and appointed Kate Irvine as our Children’s Ministry Leader to lead, co-ordinate and oversee all the different aspects of children’s work (including crèche, Junior Church and ages up to teenage years, and their families). She says, “my aim is to see all our young people, from the very young through to teens, recognising that they are loved by their Heavenly Father, for each one to grow up inspired and equipped to serve God in their own unique way, the way that God has planned for them. We aim to partner with parents in this vital task.” Contact Kate Irvine

All the leaders are Christians and we aim to share our faith and help children discover faith, encounter the Holy Spirit, learn to pray, read and understand the Bible and use the gifts God has given them.

Special Events

During the course of the year we hold some special events particularly for children. Keep an eye on these pages and the calendar for specifics. These include Messy Church and other special events throughout the year.

CCBC is committed to best practice especially when working with children and young people. As a church we have a strong Safeguarding Policy, informed by both the government and Baptist Union of Great Britain guidance. All our leaders and helpers have received training and hold current DBS checks.
