At CCBC, as in most Baptist churches, the members, ministers, staff and leadership team, as well as all groups operating within the life of the church, including their leaders, are accountable to the Church Vision Meeting.
CVM’s are held every other month, usually on a Wednesday evening in the High Street Building. All members and friends are welcome at these meetings, which begin at 7.30pm.
What happens at a CVM?
Principally, we gather to worship Jesus, spend time praying and seeking God’s will. We share encouragements, news and update our members. We are committed to fulfilling our vision which is…
- Proclaiming Jesus Christ to people today
- Making disciples
- Building God’s Kingdom
- Praying for Revival
- Planting new churches
- Reaching the nations
Proposals and key decisions that will affect the life of the Church are prayerfully considered, and a vote of Church members will be taken on aspects of major importance.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is usually held in April, where we annually appoint both the Church Secretary and Treasurer, receive and ratify our Annual Audited Accounts, and approve the budget for the forthcoming year.
