Safeguarding Policy

We take the safety and protection of our children, young people and adults at risk as a high priority at CCBC.

Everyone who works with children, young people and adults at risk at CCBC must hold a current DBS disclosure (formerly a CRB certificate), as well as follow our Safeguarding Policy and Procedures. Furthermore, all of our Leadership and Staff team are required to have up-to-date disclosures.

Our Child Protection Policy conforms to current government and Baptist Union of Great Britain recommendations, and we work in conjunction with CAS (Churches Agency for Safeguarding).

The policy & procedures are overseen by Gill Woods, who serves as our Designated Person, working on behalf of the Leadership. Gill works alongside the Leadership Team, as well as with Sara Oram, who serve as Joint DBS & Child Protection Co-ordinators .

If you have any concerns about either the safety of children or young people at CCBC, or our Policy and Procedure, please speak to Gill Woods, or one of the ministers.
